Hello Everyone: Just wanted to let everyone know Matthew Rush is here and we just finished shooting his first porn video project this year. As you all know, he’s no longer an exclusive with Falcon and we all can look forward to seeing him work with other photographers.

After nearly a decade mega porn star Matthew Rush has left his exclusive contract at Falcon Studios. Rush burst onto the scene in 2001 and quickly became one of the most talked about porn stars of his time. Since then he has appeared on dozens of video and live shows on Falcon’s XXX website, not to mention the countless personal appearances and magazine covers. Change is in the air. I met Matthew in 2002 at a pool party in Palm Springs and have stayed in touch with him via e-mail, etc. I spoke with him the other day and he was in great spirits. Matthew told me he will continue to work in porn. He’s still looking great after all these years and after all the great work he did at Falcon. I wish him the best.

Narrowing down our list of favorite adult film stars was difficult enough but when it came to compiling our list on favorite online video sites and stars it was impossible. There were so many great sites, so many wonderfully sexy guys, and some pretty amazing videos that we would have “top ten” lists in all sorts of categories from now until the end of 2009. That said, we will have several entries recapping the best of 2008 in the online video genre and like last year we hope to include all our favorites with our OWN categories. This way, as many sites as possible get their due…as follows:

The site that gave career boosts to Reese Rideout & Chris Rockway hadn’t really gone away but it re-emerged in 2008 as a “starmaker” by providing a stepping stone to Vince Ferelli and introducing us to Leo Giamani. It’s so nice that Jack Manly mentioned us, much less give MightyMen a best comeback nod. You know those California sites like to ignore the east coast sites. What Jack gave us credit for - the 2006 introductions to Reese Rideout and Chris Rockway. The story has been repeated here on MightyMen a million times but we had the 2nd porn outting for Reese in January 2006, after his work with Body Image Productions, and the very first outting with Rockway in July 2006.
2007 wasn’t a good year for me to introduce the world to any big new porn stars, but 2008 was a great year. On June 14, 2008, MightyMen.com published the first nude photo spread of Leo Giamani, which, of course, I shot and a few days after that, jake Cruise released his first video, then Massive Studio and so on. Our Leo Giamani video didn’t come until a few weeks later. Now Leo is a big star working with Falcon Studios.
Then in October, 2008, the first big bottoming role for Vince Ferelli, a muscle body builder guy who has gone on to become a big star. Vince got the daylights fucked out of him in “Ooops” by Robert Van Damme. So yes, 2008 was a great year. Hopefully so will 2009. I’ve been at this since 1993 and I’m confident we’ll find a few more stars this year. But whatever you do, don’t tell anyone that Reese and Rockway modeled here in 2006. And a special shout out to Rusty Stevens who did a great job fucking Leo Giamani. Rusty had little notice and flew across country to be the first guy to fuck Leo Giamani.

Here on the east coast we woke up to a nice new year suprise. Popular Calfiornia based website JackManly.Com named Mr. Rockway “Man of the Year”.

The summer of 2006 a yet unnamed first time amateur flew to the east coast and we shot photos and video for a few days. His first porn outting. This unnamed hunk had sent me an e-mail with a photo attached and said that he was interested in becoming a male model. When I saw the photo attached to the e-mail I was completely blown away. It was only one photo of him shirtless but it was enough to make me think I was dreaming. I had never seen such a hot guy. A few e-mails went back and forth and a few phone calls. Most models that apply are not that serious but Rockway was serious and he had a unique business sense to him. Somethng I hadn’t seen since working with Rideout earlier that year and haven’t seen again until working with Ferelli in 2008.
Long story short, he got on an airplane and few to D.C. and it was the most fun I have ever had working with any model. I knew this guy could be huge if he wanted. Photographers can only do so much, it is up to the model. Often I will help models find other work, but in this guy’s case it wasn’t necessary. He had already taken care of those arrangements himself. The only way I could help was to give him a great porn name. Just take one good look at his rock hard hunky body and the name “Rockway” came to mind. Great choice, huh?
